Directions to Ralph's Ballroom Essentials


Before you travel, please bring clean dry shoes for dancing. They should have smooth soles that will allow you to turn on them - no "non-stick" soles that prevent turning such as rubber, crepe, etc. Smooth leather or suede is ideal. From the North: Follow Route 7 south to Williamstown. Look for the Cozy Corner Restaurant and motel on the left. Turn left onto Sand Springs Road. At about 2 tenths of a mile Sand Spring Road turns slightly left while the main roadway becomes Bridges Road. Bear slightly left (not a sharp left), staying on Sand Springs Road. Bear right onto Harrison Avenue. At the end of Harrison, turn left onto White Oaks Road. From the East. Follow Route 2 west to Williamstown. Turn right at the traffic light onto Cole Avenue. Continue on Cole Avenue until the end. Turn left onto North Hoosac Road. North Hoosac turns slightly left while the main roadway becomes Bridges road. Continue straight on bridges road, and turn right onto White Oaks Road. Al's auto body shop will be on the near left corner before the turn. From the South: follow Route 7 north to Williamstown. You will come to a small park that is now a large traffic circle. Stay on Route 7 north toward Bennington. About 3/4 mile or so, turn right after the bridge onto North Hoosac Road. The second left will be White Oaks Road. Turn left onto White Oaks Road. Al's auto body shop will be on the near right at the end of the first block, where there is a stop sign. Cross bridges road. Continue up White Oaks Road. You will pass Ballou Lane on the right and then Harrison Avenue on the left. We're the fourth house on the left past Harrison. The number, 191, is on the porch to the left of the door and on the base of the large pine tree to the right of the driveway (picture). Please park close behind the red Prius to allow my wife to get in our out past your car or to allow another student to park beside you. Town regulations prohibit parking on the street for a home business; students must park in the driveway or in the slot across the street. (Additional parking is available on Harrison Avenue if needed.) Come through the car-port on the right to the back door where you can change into your dance shoes in the mud room. Just enter at the appointed time - no need to knock.
